when i surf web (i use opera and firefox) internet explorer windows keep opening up, usually 2 or 3 at a time, with lame spam being the content. How can I stop this? I ran spybot and cleaned out some spyware, but i stilll have this problem. Maybe I can uninstall ie? HELP!
i have run spybot again. I also made firefox the default browser, and i also uninstalled internet explorer!! Did a search for iexplore.exe files, deleted them, but the windows keep coming back! HELP!

set firefox or opera as your default browser.
You can uninstall internet explorer by going to control panel, add/remove programs, add/remove windows components on the left, then unchecking internet explorer and clicking next to uninstall
