It affect especially to my yahoo messenger, it keeps sending messages automatically containing a link to the file. I can’t stop that from sending the messages and it looks like it’s a spam message. Pls help me.. tell me how to remove that grokster. It’s bugging me

turn off your wireless go to control panel…remove programs that you don’t know or find suspicious.
Try malwarebytes.
run a virus scan in safe mode restart your computer and at the boot up screen hit f8
restore ur computer but make sure u click that u want to keep old files… see if it goes away then. Some of these viruses dont go away. Also, if it is the quarentine then u dont need to delete it, it will have no effect.
For Viruses, Malware & Adware Removal
Re-boot your computer in SAFE MODE
To run it in Safe Mode, as soon as your computer turns on hit the F8 key (repeatedly) until a screen comes up
Choose Start computer in SAFE MODE with network support
Download and install Malware Bytes and AVAST
Run a FULL SCAN with both programs – They are FREE.
try what your are doing in save mode. ( restart pc and press f8 repeatably )
you didn’t tell what anti-virus you are using but for adware malwarebytes anti-malware and super anti-spyware are the best.
Grokster is a file sharing program. You should be able to
remove thru the add/remove program. Simply find Grokster
in the list and click to uninstall. If you have downloaded files, movies, music, etc. with the program, you may want to move them to another location or rename the download folder before uninstalling.
There may be other programs listed in the add/ remove installed along with Grokster. Best to remove those too after
you have properly identified them.
Suggest you run a scan with Super Antispyware free and allow it to remove whatever it finds.
